The Best in the World – at the Best Bar in Vegas – For the Night of Your Life.
Black Magic Wednesday is the exclusive residency of Shock Illusionist Dan Sperry where every Wednesday night, at the infamous Griffin tavern in downtown Las Vegas, this in-demand yet extremely limited capacity show brings audiences into the secret back room for an intimate encounter with sleight-of-hand, up close illusions and a twist of the bizarre like you’ve never seen before.
This trend-setting show is the original brainchild of Dan Sperry and is the only show of its kind in Las Vegas. This becomes immediately clear the moment you set foot inside The Griffin as you are transported into a world that is one part Hogwarts and one part CBGBs. You walk past the slightly faded ornate paintings that adorn the walls and among the exposed brick complimented by dark wood tables and bar tops – randomly tagged by punk rock stickers – all lit by candlelight and open fire pits. At the end of a small hallway you come upon a single door where on the other side at 9pm every Wednesday night you, along with 29 other exclusively in-the-know expected guests, will buckle up for 80-minutes of the unexplainable and the unimaginable that can only be presented by Shock Illusionist Dan Sperry : The Anti-Conjuror.
Nominated “Best of Las Vegas” with rave reviews topping the ratings of 5 stars across Google, Yelp, Trip Advisor and Facebook audiences have been keeping this show sold out and tickets in-demand weeks to months in advance. When not on tour and on the road this is where Shock Illusionist Dan Sperry calls home and presents a show with much of the experiences throughout the evening can only be experienced at Black Magic Wednesday.
Shock Illusionist Dan Sperry : The Anti-Conjuror is hailed as the most popular and in-demand illusionist of this generation. As a result of his jaw-dropping performances on multiple record-breaking international tours, numerous network television appearances, and some of the most underground viral videos to ever plague the Internet, his legion of hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans span all ages and demographics.
Combining the art of magic with the macabre, his totally unique and edgy illusions initially capture the imagination of crowds across the globe. But it is his unhinged, shockingly eccentric humor and audience interaction that makes his live show a truly unique experience that has been dubbed, “Totally icky, yet totally awesome”, “…Left me laughing to tears. The cynical Alice Cooper of Magic”, and one that “Has audiences laughing and shuddering in equal measure”.
From starring in the best-selling magic show in Broadway history The Illusionists, sky-rocketing ratings on America’s Got Talent, Germany’s hit series Das SuperTalent, FOX’s World Magic Awards, and TLC’s Cake Boss, to selling out countless performance venues around the world, Dan Sperry presents a magic show for people who love magic shows but an even better show for people who hate magic shows. The Anti-Conjuror is not for the faint hearted: Magic No Longer Sucks.

BLACK MAGIC WEDNESDAY starring Shock Illusionist Dan Sperry takes place in the secret back room at the infamous GRIFFIN in downtown Las Vegas.
With leather booths drenched in deep red tones and two fireplaces to sit around, The Griffin is the kind of place that makes you want to order something different than a Coors Light, something classier, something that you can drink out of a clean, neat glass.
Something with ice even.
Regardless of what you’re drinking, The Griffin has quickly become one of the coolest spots in town to see and be seen, but not in a pretentious sort of way. It’s the kind of bar where if you’re local, you run into somebody you know, and if you’re not a local, trust us, you’ll run into somebody you want to know — you’ll be able to tell that you want to know them when they pick out a few eyebrow-arch worthy selections on the bar’s jukebox.
Ah, yes, the jukebox. Often seen in bars, bowling alleys and game rooms, no jukebox in town quite rivals The Griffin’s selection. Listing bands here would only pigeon-hole it and it’s just not fair to do that.
